My Toddler and pre-school days (0 to 5)

I was born in Bhopal on 23rd May (Taurian Cusp) 1963.. on a Amavasya Day. It was a great coincidence, that my great grandfather (Paternal) Shri Swaminatha Avathanigal also born on the same day (but 64 years before).. I spent the initial 2 months over there at my maternal grandfather' house and returned to a tiny town called Dalmiapuram. Dalmiapuram, the name was christened to the town, because of the cement factory put up by the Great Dalmias from Uttarpradesh. A big story can be written on them and their charity.
Myself and elder brother (seenu affectionately called) with parents stayed in thatched roof houses. There were twenty odd houses in two lanes and we were in the middle of one of the row. We were flanked on right side by my aunt (father's sister) and by father's other friends on either side.

Time moved on.. I could recollect some of the things happened at the age of 3/4. On every night (except rainy days), we used to put (blanket/ mats) outside our house and sleep.. My father used to narrate Tenaliraman stories and snippets from puranaas. All kids from all family will assemble beside us to hear the stories from my father. As we lived in those house for 4/5 odd years, cats and kitten also used to live with us wherever there is space between the roof and wall. It was very difficult to manage fruits and milk .. as every second/third day, we used to lose milk / curd / fruit to the menaces of Cats.

As we were mischeivious on those days (i could here noises as i am now also), my parents decided to put (lock) us in the school to get away from the menace. We joined the school but in due course we had shifted to one of the first building (ground+2 floor) constructed in the town inaugurated by the then, CM of TN Mr. Annadurai. My father asked for corner house as we are from big parivar and many relatives come and go.. we had to fight it out a big competition on the same. Our Journey started a long way from the year 1967 to 1993 where we lived every bit and enjoyed everybit in a single house (E/86 Silver Jubilee Colony). This house / building is on the Raj Path of the town.. where you can see everything happening on the town.. Any religious procession, to watch the school children screaming in their high pitch to reach home and set for play, or to watch may people running to see movie in a nearby theatre and their return.. or playing all sorts of games (Marbles, Gilli-danda, Cricket, Football, Ring-tennis and you name it.. whatever) on the raj path.
